Steinmetz Medical Associates - I have been practicing family medicine for twenty-five years.  During that time I have seen tremendous benefit from advances in technology and medications.  At the same time, the health care system has ignored that we are intricate beings composed of complex interactions between body, mind, spirit, and our internal and external environment.

In 1997 I started Steinmetz Medical Associates to respond to a community need for a more holistically integrated medical practice. Integrative Medicine is a movement that came together in the early 1990’s under the leadership of Dr. Andrew Weil and has been expanding since that time.
Marie Steinmetz,  M.D.*

TeenScreen - The Columbia University TeenScreen Program is an adolescent mental health and suicide-screening initiative active in 40 states. By helping communities establish programs in schools, doctors’ offices, juvenile justice facilities and other youth organizations, and collaborating with legislators, administrators, and advocates to promote mental health screenings throughout the country, we hope to offer a mental health check-up to every teenager in America.

If you are a teen in distress: Thank you for taking the initiative to contact TeenScreen. Unfortunately we are not able to offer online screening or direct mental health services. However, we urge you to continue reaching out and find a trusted adult to speak with, or call the National Hopeline Network 24-hours a day at 800-784-2433.
